Bethlehem Walk
The
Bethlehem Walk will occur on Saturday, December 5, 2009 from 3:00 to 9:00 p.m. and Sunday, December 6, 2009 from 3:00 to 7:00 p.m. on the campus of
St. Andrews
Lutheran
Church and School at
260 North Northwest Highway.
The first floor of our school and church – inside and out – is transformed into
Bethlehem and its surrounding hills for that most special night that occurred thousands of years ago. Visitors, with the assistance to shepherd guides, walk through the streets and hills of
Bethlehem and interact with characters, in costume, from the Christmas Story as told in the Book of Luke. Roman guards, Caesar, the Census Taker, the Tax Collector, Angels, King Herod, a shepherd family, the Wise Men, the Inn Keeper and the Holy Family will be visited on this journey to assist you in revisiting that special night so long ago. Live animals, campfires, and tents all add to the realism and make this a moving experience.
